Chinese steamed water eggs

I guess this is a dish many of us grew up with. Steamed eggs are usually eaten with rice and the hard part about it is to get the right texture… well try to follow my instructions and I am sure it will be no problem for you!

 
蒸水蛋比例: 1只旦要 2 份水

材料:

1. 2 只中蛋 = 100 克 = 3. 53 oz
2. 200 ml = 6. 76 fl oz, 暖水

調味料:

1. 1 茶匙雞粉
2. 少許糖
3. 1/3 茶匙鹽
4. 1 茶匙麻油

面裝飾: 少許青蔥粒

steamed water egg : an egg = 2 x water

Ingredients:

1. 2 eggs ( M ) = 100 grams = 3. 53 oz
2. 200 ml = 6. 76 fl oz, luke warm water

Seasoning ;

1. 1 tsp chicken powder
2. a pinch of sugar
3. 1/3 tsp salt
4. 1 tsp sesame oil

Topping ; some slices spring onions

      1:25, heat up steaming plate on boiling water
      1:31, pour in the eggs mixture
      1:42, cover with lid, medium heat steam for 3 mins
      1:49, 3 mins later, turn off the heat
      1:53, sit on the hot hob for 15 to 17 mins
      1:57, during this period you must not open the lid
      2:01, 15 mins later Thank you. Have a lovely day :)

    This is one dish that I can never do successfully. I have tried it so many times with other recipes in the past and wasted so many eggs. I am going to try one more time using your recipe, and I I fail again, I will call it a day.

    And by the way, i wonder if you could teach me how to cook the sweetened steam egg (with ginger). I have tried it but I just can’t achieve the smooth texture. My mom used to cook that for me when I was a kid. I miss it so much and in turn would also love to cook it for my mom now.
