Hung siu yuk/ Chinese red cooked pork belly

Red cooked pork belly spoken “hung siu yuk” is a very famous and popular dish. The meat is braised and very soft. From the sauce it gets an extraordinary flavour… and you can eat this as a side dish to absolutely anything.


1. 大約 560 克 = 20 oz, 五花腩
2. 3 片薑
3. 1 條大青蔥, 小的話 2 條


1. 1 湯匙鎮江香醋
2. 3 湯匙紹興酒
3. 2 湯匙冰糖
4. 1 湯匙生抽
5. 1 茶匙李錦記特級老抽
6. 2/3 茶匙雞粉
7. 200 ml = 6. 8 fl oz , 水


1. around 560 grams = 20 oz, pork belly
2. 3 slices ginger
3. 1 large green onion, if small x 2

Seasoning :

1. 1 tbsp Chinkiang vinegar
2. 3 tbsp Shaoxing wine
3. 2 tbsp rock sugar
4. 1 tbsp ligh soy sauce
5. 1 tsp Lee kum kee Premium dark soy sauce
6. 2/ 3 tsp chicken powder
7. 200 ml = 6. 80 fl oz, water
