    Hi Maria,

May I understand why you initially separated out 7 pieces of black bean aside and you chopped the rest and later you add back the 7 pieces of black bean together with the black beans?

    Thanks
    Mun Ling

    • Maria says:

Hi Mun Ling, black beans are very dry, hard and salty, the ones that I cut and stomped will be mashed but the seven others will mainly stay in sharp and just become a bit softer. So you can see them later on the plate and the flavour can add to the dish :)

    Hello Maria,

    • Maria says:

      Stephanie

Thank you for sharing your love and knowledge of cooking. Especially Cantonese cooking.

I have tried many of your recipes and each time they come out great! I feel so blessed to have found your site and YouTube channel.

Can you teach us how to make ribs in vinegar sauce? I think it is called ‘ting Tung kwat’ in restaurants. I would love to learn how to make it.

    Thank you.

        Hi Maria,

I think it is 糖醋排骨 in Chinese. The rib is deep fried and covered in a vinegar sweet sauce.

I’m making Har Gow at the moment..following your recipe
